Govt asks oil firms to raise exchange sales of winter diesel fuel

MOSCOW, Dec 11 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has suggested that the local oil companies raise sales of winter diesel fuel through an exchange, the government said in a statement on Monday following a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

“The deputy prime minister has ordered the parties to monitor the situation with the fuel pricing at the fuel filling stations of the troubled regions … The oil companies were recommended to raise the offer of winter diesel fuel in the exchange trade,” the statement read.

The government also thinks that the Energy Ministry and the oil companies should coordinate the balance of production of winter diesel fuel for the entire winter season until the end of March.
